The kick for freeing a slot topic

The little incident we had with Creak yesterday makes me think we better try to normalise a procedure, just so that the guys we want to leave the place at the benefit of our members feel respected and treated accordingly.
Not that Creak did not feel it like this in this very case - he told me he has understood what was hapening -, but it may not work that way each time it is hapening.

Suming up : Creak had to leave two times yesterday - nothing special in this - to free his slot to a member. First time he was called and ask formally, but second time, do not know why and how this happened, he was just kicked with no advice be it vocal or chat. I'm not writting this in view to investigate who and when and why and how, so please do not go this way in you answers.....

So do you think it would be possible to make a bot that and admin could launch when needed, that would display a prompter readable for everyone, and saying something like " XXXX we need your slot for a member so we ask you to leave the game, this is no sanction, you are still welcome to our server as soon a new place is available. You will be automatically kicked in ( 20;19;18;17;16 .... ) seconds "

the second time he was not only kicked, but banned for a day because of throwing molly´s on the cash while rat was planting his explosive there
also he ran in front of team members while they were shooting and we decided to give him a sign that we do not accept dirty gaming

yes he was a bit over the top with his move,and apologized to Creak when he came back to the server

Whoever chooses to take issue with a player must give warning first, and know that the warning has been heard and understood. That done, usual admin rules apply. If in doubt ask yourself what Taran, DD, or Spawnsy would do.

This is what was done. And as we're French, this helped me to explain how the htings a ruled aboard. The message was received & acknowleged. And as said previously, he confirmed the positive feeling I had at first glance. This guy is willing to do well and all hapened because a lack of com from his side and his poor understanding of vocal english ... I'm sure he'll improve, and that's what he has already done.

But this is not what I was writing about. The day after, he came back and behave well. He had to leave two times in a row to free a slot - thing he perfectly understood and accepted -. But the second time, for a reason I'm just not willing to know - shit can hapen -, he was just kicked without any warning. And when he came back I was asked to explain to him that we had made a mistake by mistreating him like this.

I think we all try our best to communicate but have to accept sometimes its not always ideal. With those kicked I always try and follow [mention]Spawnsy[/mention] script which he down to a fine art, explaining we kick for members and its nothing personal and please come again when a slot is free.

ideally for banning, I try to explain why but if they do not respond in comms, or are a dick, I am happy to ban them with little fuss, this does not happen often.

But that does bring up the question do we want the hall of shame thread back.

- sometimes the situation should be just fixed instantly with no more thinking about it and going back to gaming and having fun with friends
yes i know sometimes mistakes will be done, but life overal is not always fair and you cannot be friendly all the time. it is our Server and our way
to handle problems
- and yes i would like to see the hall of shame back in our Forum
that is a usefull tool for non admins to point on non EBS confirmed players on our servers with bad behavior
