Squad Tournament in Summer 2019

Post by knightmorphed »

Howdy EBS squad players I have been asked if I would captain together with Jenny from Royal Battalion the European contingency in a squad tournament this summer to help broaden the reach of the squad community. We have two representatives from the US as well

Season 5 Captains
RB Little Jenny (EU)
=EBS= KnightMorphed (EU)
[AoN] Titan (NA)
T//A ShevaSnow (NA)

https://level.gg/

I will no doubt come begging for your expertise and skill to help out with some of these tournament matches between June 6th and mid July. The theme is game of thrones in terms of team names. I will be in touch once I have some more information to share.

Have fun with that, it's one of the most time consuming and tedious and thankless jobs going "I'm speaking from experience",but I hope it comes off and you have fun.

Some more rules for the tournament:
"We allow each captain their 6 leaders in advance to help you get the team setup and structured right. Then we do a draft with all the users that registered. This event is unlike anything else because it's not clan vs clan and it's not a one-off Saturday night pub night. It's a melting pot of all the teams, communities, small groups and solo players that are drafted and assigned to their team for the entire season. Allows for the community to play with and against players they normally never would. It's also an ideal event to help new players to find communities or teams to play with and visa versa".

That sounds a great setup. Very unusual. I like the idea of mixing people together.

Unfortunately I had to be realistic. I run a busy IT consulting business, have two young kids, got an active social life during the summer months with lots of BBQ's, got quite a bit of travel coming up over the summer and I simply cant commit to level GG gaming and be a captain for 2-3 hours every Saturday for a period of up to 10 weeks so I regrettably had to decline the opportunity I just don't want to let them down because of my busy schedule. If anyone else wants to be a captain please let me know and I will gladly recommend you.
