In my honest opinion, I think 9 out of 10 time the existing system works, i.e. if they play regularly,they take the time to read the sign-up part of the forum, then do their probation period, then they'll probably fit in , it's those that don't do the work don't get in after all that's the idea of a probationary period.

just a lil imagination from me folks

i hear lots of people moaning about the hardcore mode, they realy don´t like it, because of lack of joy (i am one of them tbh) and i don´t think this way to set up our server will stand very much longer
i alwways thought that the insurgency game was at the bright side of gaming because there are so much other games where one can play hardcore, monster tactical, ranking hunt or whatever … if someone whats to play those types of gaming it is ok for me and there are tons of servers in the list, not only for this game, but in all sorts of other FPS shooters, where you can find all of those settings, but why on earth should we tweak our Insurgency server to something were we cannot be a friendly gaming community!
For ex. we are restricted to only 8 players because of hardcore mode, all are quite stressed because of wich cuts the time of having a laugh together and so on
so to shorten it a bit: if someone would give me the golden master key, i would disable the hardcore mode on the Sandstorm server

May i suggest a vote/poll on discord opened to regulars whom participate to server life and fame, so the question would be put at rest?
Maybe in the form of multiple questions depending of the settings that kentone has ability to tweak.
i.e. :
full casual
casual slow
really hard bot casual
tons of hardbots casual
hardcore with weapon choosing
hardcore no weapon choosing

Just a quick thought, no intention to add complexity to the matter.

The server as it is now, config wise, is for me perfect. All we have to do is revert back to 10 players and fuck off hardcore, and we're laughing

Quite. Proposed, seconded, confirmed. Unless kentone says no, it shall be so.
Please note, we don't give any non-member a say in anything. Ever. The community is run for it's members and only it's members.
Additionally, we rarely vote on things any more. It takes too long and people get upset when things don't go how they want. Decisions are made and amended by the ranking members based on feeling and feedback. This is how =EBS= is run.
