Alpha 12

Post by Spriggs »

Lets get the ball rolling again.

What are people looking forward to the most with the up-coming updates and how will this affect the overall 'meta' of the current "rush centre flags and FOB up".

I am personally looking forward to the updated spawn system to HAB's to stop the spawn camping and to make it more important to defend FOB's. In normal games however, I think FOB's will see a decline as they are going to need constant resupply to keep going. Maybe when Heli's get added it will be easier to resupply ammo or building materials but for now I think we will see less FOB's.

here a few

new revive system, so being a medic will no longer be a chore.
new graphics engine and optimisations
new suppression system
new fireteams
new ammo bags
they have rethought the scope distance, before they did not take into account the distance between the player and the monitor thats why scopes seem to be attached at the end of a broom, they are all now brought closer.
will be interesting to see how permanent spawns and permanent ammo will work out.

I dont like the new UI it looks very cartoon y and like sandstorm,

I forgot about the suppression update, that is going to make life a tad easier if you get the first shot off

also the change in the workshop and mods format.

in the past, crazily if you wanted to mod a scope, it had to be in bedded as a layer in the every map, so it would be 2gb or so to add a scope to the game, f*&^*& stupid way of coding. They still have this issue with vehicles/ but will gradually change it

But now weapons and mods are separated from the map layers...so hopefully I can get a bloomin scope as am useless without one.

Wow @Spriggs game has come a long way since that post on version 12.....I believe I started playing the game in Version 9 in June 2017.

Now in version 20 and it keeps evolving....After having not played game for 3 weeks, it has been great coming back to it and the EBS team just makes it so much better. @dom with his persistent and excellent medic work is just a huge contributor to the outcome of a battle - 3200 hours in and I still enjoy it....normally every other game when I hit 600-800 hours I am done but this one just keeps on trucking along because of the camaraderie, communication, team work and every battle is different so little repetition.
