Modded servers

I could be wrong but this is my opinion.

Since the new Squad Infantry Combat Overhual (ICO), I do think that the modded servers such as Middle East Escalation (MEE) that they have become more viable to play as they hit that sweet spot between ICO and MEE. By that sweet "Spot" I mean tat the weapons do not sway as much and it feels as though you're playing as a professional soldier to a point from my own experiences. I do urge anyone who plays Squad to give the modded servers a chance and see what you think, draw your own conclusions.

Excellent observation and I do agree with you. I joined a modded server and really enjoyed it....nice addition to the game for some different flavour and new styles of play.

There is a good number of modded servers out there. The infantry combat overhaul has really made the game a bit more interesting but I think they have pushing a bit too much the other way. As Biker put, its in a sweet spot where professional soldiers aren't always out of place.

The Middle Eastern Escalation mod is really fun to play, good modded factions but I think there is defiantly some balance issues on come maps where vehicles can go rampant unless dealt with. Personally, vehicles also can get blown over fairly consistently with good AT as we found out in one of the Ukrainian maps we played. If they can get the FTL markers to be fixed again then I think we'll be onto a winner.

Yes I prefer the mods now to the updated game, I never thought I would say that but it just feels better to shoot and move around. New update is almost too realistic. I play games to escape reality not to be limited by all the same baloney as in real life.

Obviously I'm new to Squad I can play IS competently I think but I think I'm gonna suck @Squad unless someone wants to mentor me

One of these evenings if you see me in discord pls join I will show you the basics....its a difficult game to learn. People with 500 hours in the game are still considered newbies....I regularly play with people that have 5000-7000 hours in the game its proper madness.

I do agree with biker on the modded verison of squad (MEE) is so much better then ICO the devs tbh fucked up the game for older player that has been there from almost day 1. me having 3k hours on the game love the game but now the INF part is so bad. The superstion is a good thing but the blurry is bad its not like that irl.
