I don't see £50 a lot of money if you get 500+ hours on it. Nowadays, the cost of a disc (as Blue said, it's a fairly miniscule figure) is less than hosting servers.
well I just bought shadow of the tombraiderfor £25.00 and got 21 hours and finished it all

That’s not value for money in my eyes. Unless you have side quests to play.

21 hours. £25. That's £1ish per hour.

Now tell me where you can get the entertainment you got from that for give or take £1 per hour?

That is the system I use stujb. Any thing = or < £1 per hour is super value for money even if I didn't enjoy it.

@Warlock ever considered waiting a year or so buy and play single player games? I bought rise of the tomb raider complete edition for £10 few weeks ago. Absolute steal. Not the longest game but throughly enjoyable.

One would assume with majority of pc games played online now this will have reduced piracy significantly putting more money in the developers and distributors pockets. I cannot remember the last time i downloaded and played a pirated game used to do it all the time many years ago.

You can pay £50 to watch 90 minutes of football..

So true Sturjb
I totally agree with you, the initial outlay is steep nowadays but considering the hours we all spending playing these games it
is cheap entertainment.
It just hurts paying £40-£60 in one bash, especially if you are unemployed, a student or retired.
If I think it is too much I just wait until it is cheaper, but not everyone is so patient lol
