Has the respawn ability been removed? I don't have access to that command. Just to let you know.

toks, we have removed respawn whilst it is been looked at. console access to other commands should have been restored.

Had hoped more people would chip in here, so will post and copy it on the discord WO chat.

I feel that we do not need respawn at all to admin the servers well, kick, slay, and ban are essential/. But respawn is a perk in all instances, and sadly has been abused of late, not through malice but people using it following their own rules, so to them its fine. We are just not using the same rules.

it is far easier to remove it completely than to set up a set of rules that need to be adhered to, especially as in all cases rules will always have exceptions, and do we really want to add a strict rule set?

no other game we play gives the admin respawn perks, and yet we manage fine with them?

+1 to what taran said.

You don't need to be spawned in to deal with people.

status - will give you player names and steam id's

sm_hsay "whatever you need to say" - will get a message in the middle of the screen

sm_psay "player name or steam id" "message" - will send a private message to a player

sm_slay "player name or steam id" - will pop their little clogs

sm_kick "player name or steam id" - will get rid of the buggers

sm_ban "0" "player name or steam id" - 0 is a permi ban or you can set it to a time in mins

i think i used to use 890-= as my keys. maybe 7 too, i don't recall. it doesn't matter which, as long as you remember.
i don't recall exactly what messages i used to have either. i think the first two are correct.

long messages don't work.
keep it short and to the point.
blunt, but not rude.
caps work best: tried and tested.
one i do recall, but which i only used occasionally was: NO ENGLISH: NO GAME
i only ever used it when a player simply wouldn't respond to anything as a last ditch effort before kicking them. it may seem harsh, but if you can't communicate with the team, then how can you play with them? sure, if a person doesn't understand english but joins in perfectly well, then it's not a rule, but if they're a problem, then it's a problem.
mess about and see what gets you the best results. take note of the responses you get from your messages and tweak them.
