Searched for this topic on the forum - no hits.

Sorry if it has been mentioned before or is somewhere in your rules.

In all my time playing, it's the one thing I totally hate about any FPS, is when people bunnyhop / jump to avoid getting shot. :x

Sorry I just haven't got to know everyone's voices in discord just yet (I have the overlay on now so hopefully will get to know them eventually), but this topic raised itself tonight in game. Someone said that anyone caught bunnyhopping should face an immediate ban. Don't know whether it's an official rule or not, so just want to check with you folks.

Certainly if someone starts shooting at you, it's fair to dive to the floor or jump over an obstacle to find cover, but hopping around like Zebedee, in order to make it harder for someone to shoot you, just isn't cricket in my book.

That's my opinion anyway.

As our original forums crashed and burned, it's not been put back on this one, I can confirm that you are indeed correct ,jump for cover is ok but it used to be a strictly enforced rule on EBS no bunny hopping , that's why I joined in the first place, but it was also when we actually had direct control of the server, and I don't believe we have any admin over battlefield now, sadly

As Warlock says, we have not got our own server so it's a rule we have, but cannot easily enforce.

The plus side of this is bunny hopping is not as it used to be. If you keep jumping in BF5 eventually you come to a stop and simply jump up and down on the spot. I find it easier to dispatch players that do hop for this very reason. Just remember, when they hop their forward momentum will reduce meaning they will be out of cover for longer.
