mine is quite easy
just my Surname spelled backwards
when i realised that there are more than just 3 CAPS back in the late 80`s i was looking for a Name that sounded a bit like comming of outer space i thought that it was a good idea to do so
i realised that it is difficult to pronounce at all sorts of languages, so i kept it for about 30 years now.
sometimes, if a first given name is asked i put a "Sir" there

Graffiti name back on time, when you do that kind of things is like if you have another identity, as Clark Kent.
So I added a "one" at the end for the longest walls, im not anymore into that, but it became my alias until now :)

Spadgy is Corkonian slang for a Sparrow. I was always picking fight with bigger birds.

Age = childhood nickname.

I was MajorFlibbles on Battlefield for a while in a sort of homage to Mister Fibbles from Red Dwarf but with more of a soldier stance and an extra letter.

The Provoked Prawn is a variation of a gaming handle automatically generated by Games for Windows or whatever that awful Microsoft platform is. I thought an angry prawn was pretty hilarious and hopefully memorable. Of course it gets shortened to Prawn, PP or even 'provoked'. Which is random. Always happy to just be called Age, but it's generally too short for games (as many require at least 4 letters) and often already being used by someone else....

foobies comes from way back in Team Fortress. the original back in dialup days not tfc or tf source as it's now known as. I was in a clan called Black Death Assassins and I liked the Foo Fighters so I was bda_foo. joined here as bda_foo and when I went to play 2142 foo was already taken and so became F(o)(o) as it looks like boobies, which are something else I like. then sometime a game wouldn't let me use brackets so foobies was born.

Mine dates back to about 1991, The foreman at a Garage I worked at called me twitch as my hands would shake (essential tremor).
I started using it as an online nick name from about 1995, and my first online multiplayer game Day of Defeat back in the early beta stages in 2002.

At primary school I had a long bit of hair at the back of my head and someone called it a rat tail and said I looked like a rat, it didn't really bother me, and when a friend and I had CB radios I went by the handle Ratty. At the time I was learning to play the guitar and had (still have actually) a Squire Stratocaster Deluxe, and as we were getting the internet in 2000 I needed an online handle and Ratty was pretty much taken everywhere, so Ratty and Stratocaster and we get Rattyocaster

In a bid to think of something 'cool' and vaguely threatening for war type games, I went for (loosely translated) Soul Destroyer in Latin. Trouble is, once you have a name that people come to know you by, you can't really change it. So that's who I am in the murky world of the internet and gaming.

Interesting to hear how others came up with their names, quite varied reasons!
