Spadg, try swim once a week as well, your muscles will thank you for it.
Also your lungs and heart (even if it's pitch black :cool2: )

btw it is a nice challenge, if you don't reach the goal to the next meet what will be the punishment be at the meet 2018? some spanking?

@Spawnsy I think you will find the definition of confidence is somebody who is confident in whatever it is they are doing. Spadgy is not confident which is why he needs to social crutch from other people to help him lose weight. If he was confident, we would not be having the conversation as Spadgy would confidently be able to do whatever it is he needs to do, in this case, lose weight.

Just because somebody is loud it does not make them confident. It means they are loud.
Stujb, I am a massively confident person. If anything I'm over confident. I have the confidence to turn to my friend and tell them that I need help to stay healthy. I'm secure enough in myself to turn to a collection of my peers and say "Hey, I've tried doing this by myself but I need help".
I wouldn't call it a crutch as I don't consider my friends pieces of wood that are only useful for a while and then discarded.

I'm confident enough to know that I can't do everything myself. That's not healthy. My understanding Stujb is that this is a community. Communities are built on people helping each other out.

You also seem blind to the fact that I've stated this isn't just about me. There are other members who might want help too, but were afraid of getting this type of response.

Don't you dare think for a second, Stujb, that if you need help or support I wouldn't be the first to raise my hand and do my best.
I believe in the community.

I'll have to stay sober at the meet?

If I tried long periods on the foods mentioned in that article age, I'd be ostracized or possibly deported, by sea, as toxic waste!

Nice link their Age, very good summary imo. The only point i differ on (not nesseccarily disagreeing), is #34 eat fewer meals. When I was training competitively, ok this is more on a sport(Wrestling/MMA) orienated perspective, which may be abit more specific, rather than the general topic of weight loss. However the article does talk alot about the gym, lifting weights training etc. But eating smaller meals/more frequent meals, to give steady energy release, is better than large meals that tend to give big energy spikes in comparison. Also lead to believe it helps the function or efficiency with the stomach, rather than having a big amount of food sitting in the stomach. These sort of scheduling, helps alot with good consistant gym training sessions. Although I was training between 2-3 times a day. However the article just uses a research study and then talks about satiety, not weight loss.

Just my 2pence, but very good link might actually bookmark that for myself!

I agree. One of my biggest problems is I generally eat once a day. So I'd have massive portions.
I'm trying smoothies for breakfast, carrot sticks for a smack around 11, corn cakes and palm oil free nut butter around 14:00 and turkey and broccoli around 18:00.

Add that to walking 3 times a week and trying to stand and move at work as often as possible.

It's home made.

1 x bananna, 250ml low fat milk, 2 tea spoons peanut or cashew butter, 1 scoop protein powder, 250 ml water.
