right. ffs.
i'm back from work and have read through all this again.

the football guys got fined for what they did. fifa doesn't allow political stuff so that's that. it's a football tournament. we don't want every country airing their grievances on the world stage, stirring up trouble. sorted.

=EBS= discourages topics and conversations which cause anger and division for no good reason.
yes, it is censorship!
no, we don't care!
the moderators will moderate the forum as we see fit. that's our job. we are a gaming forum. if you want serious political debate and the freedom to write and rant what you like and upset people and create divides then go onto a political forum and do it there.

anyone is welcome to make any thread or post as they see fit, and the moderators are free to moderate as they see fit. there are rules guidelines and boundaries here, the same as in every other aspect of life. if someone doesn't want to operate within our rules and boundaries then they are free to leave. they are not free to change the rules and boundaries.

=EBS= is what it is. it is not going to be changed to suit a minority of vocal members. if you like it as a whole, but disagree with certain aspects of it then you have to choose whether or not the whole is worth putting up with any minor grievances.
analogy: if you don't like the noisy smelly engines on the boat then leave the engine room and go and stand at the bow and watch the dolphins porpoising in the bow wave. if you fundamentally disagree with the boat's carbon footprint then it's time to get off. Toks has left the good ship =EBS=. that's his choice.

i'm really looking forward to the france argentina game. being english, it's an odd one for me. i like france and the french, but there is a healthy rivalry there. however, i think you'd be hard pressed to find and englishman who has forgiven maradonna and the argentines for the blatant handball which robbed us of a world cup victory. how the referee thought that a midget out-jumped a tall goalkeeper who was using his hands shall remain a sore point for the english for the rest of time. so today, i think i'm french!! vive la france! vive le football francaise!
