Looks promising. However there is a hell of a lot of work to be done. Will this ever be released? So many kickstarters just fuck off with the money. I understand that kickstarter is a viable business model but, as Spawnsy has alluded to, it is very risky to inject your own cash into.

I bought squad thinking it was the mutt's, but soon lost interest in it. I have no intention of going back to it. I don't think any of us really ever do go backwards. Very few people have I ever heard say that they've recently got back into a game and have then stuck with it for long enough to get their money's worth. I would speculate that there are millions of copies of games all over the developed world which have been played for less than 20 hrs, which may even be recalled fondly, but the latest thing is just so 'now', and something else is going to come along anyway. It really is a 'kid in a sweet shop' kind of mentality. If all gamer's collaborated globally to stop doing that, and really only bought games which would stand the test of time then we wouldn't be treated like such cash cows, and games would be much more polished on release, if not better all-round. Obviously, I would concede that there would be fewer games to choose from, but it would benefit all. For the record, I feel much the same way about football fans. If they were to withdraw some support, say, boycotting all premiership club shirts for two seasons, it would force clubs to curtail their piss taking.

I couldn't agree more spawnsy m8, I used to have a subscription to both pc zone and pc gamer, both of which used to supply cd's/ dvd's with working demos of games on them, but pc zone (the better one) closed its doors and then pc gamer also stopped with the demos. now all you seem to get in the magazines are so called game reviews posted 6months AFTER the game's been out which is of no use to anyone if they are looking to buy a new game simply because they have already bought it ,found out it's crap and can't get a refund, if the game companys started releasing working demos again more people would be able to try before you buy and if the game wasn't finished then the players wouldn't lose their cash at least it may encourage the manufactures to polish a game before realeasing it .

You can often get demos on Steam and many games go into beta for demo/testing.

Squad was in too early stages I think that was the issue. But Insurgency was technically early access too and was further along which is why you stuck with it. Who knows what state this one will be released in. I'm excited by it because it looks awesome and is WW2 but if I bought it and it was like squad I. E. You spawn, walk 5 miles, die and then repeat then id stop playing that too.

Squad has got to the point where you spawn, drive 5 miles and the die.
I do love the game but find it too intense (& it can cause me flashbacks as well).
Most I've ever managed was 3 rounds on squad and I was drained and dripping with sweat!
