Free - 64gb SSD

Post by Projectblue » Wed Oct 19, 2016 9:41 pm

So after some pissing around with my PC I have ditched my 64gb SSD that I used for my OS. It's now surplus to requirements.
It needs a firmware flash upgrade and it can be installed as a back up for a laptop or something.

When I had a few problems with it I looked it up on the net and the OCZ site said there was a potential problem which matched the issue I was experiencing and it could be eliminated by applying the firmware flash. But that would cause the OS to be wiped and a reinstall needed. So I bottled it and lived with it. It settled down mostly until the weekend when it refused to do anything.

It was still seeing the drive and booting up but then sticking. It could be a fault on the drive but in my experience SSD either work or they don't. But then my experience is bugger all.

It's yours HG, PM your addy.
