Game Booster

Post by Stujb » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:12 pm

Guys, Roamer sent me this some months ago. It claims to boost my PC by 40%, how true that is I don't know but it does close down an awful lot of services running in the background. Try it, for the time it will take to d/l and run it's got to be worth a try. I've been using it since BFBC2.

If you have a smeg comp then yes, by all means, use it. I use it on my craptop and it does make a difference. I used it on my pc for a bit but no noticeable changes.

Stu, this is not my screenshot from last night but another person that has had the same warning. It looks like a disconnection of some sort, i think most were having bf3 lag issues Sunday night but mine seemed to get worse as the night went on. I have game booster installed and will try using it if i need to but its not the answer ongoing as my pc has run the game on high settings flawlessly since day one give or take my odd freeze on spawn screen. I know my pc inside out and back to front nothing has changed and have read varying comments from forums regarding this warning from laggy servers, high pings, poor net connection so im putting it down (fingers crossed) to a universal issue lol since nearly all had lag.

Personally, I wouldn't risk programs like this. Anything external risks you getting banned by a punkbuster update.

The best thing to do is always to check your graphics drivers (the new beta drivers for Nvidia for example, make quite a difference), defrag your rig, make sure you have plenty of space on your HDD, check your BIOS is up to do, etc, etc, etc.

Yeah standard, check all drivers are up to date, MSCONFIG (make sure start up is not launching loads of crap), once all that is done, then think of a fresh install. I do one every 6months regardless just to clear out crap I forget exists. All pics etc are stored on a normal HDD and I do not format this. Also do NOT degrag if you have an SSD.
I'm a noob
