Post by Chris_86 » Wed Jun 28, 2017 9:42 pm

Just wondered what software and methodology you all use to backup your data?

I just use the standard software with windows 10 and backup my critical data every few days to my NAS.
Complicated slightly as I have 2 encrypted drives which I have to make sure are unlocked before I backup.

Google Drive and Google Photos mostly. And splitting important stuff across multiple drives.

I keep all my downloads and recordings (if en when I record stuff) on my external hard drive. Also make a steam backup to my external drive every once in a while so that installing games is somewhat quicker than waiting for the games to be downloaded.
I also got a transIP stack account with 1TB of free cloud storage where i keep some pictures, and all my documents regarding uni and internships

Yeah I used it on the Mac, and have a license so I'll start using it. Rumour has it Microsoft are disabling File History in their next update....
