I doubt it will kill Battlefield, although, DICE and EA seem to be doing that pretty well already!!

Downloaded it. Crashed 5 times before even loading properly. Uninstalled. Meh.

However I am intrigued by the single player. And MP certainly does look more old school.

I tried the beta for a few hours this weekend. The mechanics and gunplay was solid like most CoD games. I'm not sure if it was the same issue as the Competitive Tryhard Environment (CTE) from Battlefield but people were playing very hard, very twitchy, no room for error. It didn't feel like sitting back playing a casual shooter at all. More exhausting than enjoyable to be honest. I don't like the visibility either, lots of very dark areas where people blend in seamlessly. Perhaps I am getting old :P I didn't try the 32vs32 mode and I'm glad I didn't. It looks far too chaotic.

Defo interested in the singleplayer though. It looks more interesting than they have been for a few years now. I hope they let you customize loadouts like you can in multiplayer because the weapon modding is pretty deep. A better way to take in all the attention to detail they put into weapons and animations at your own pace. I hear there will also be some kind of co-op mode, though I doubt it will be like Sandstorm.

I know people like to shit on CoD graphics but they don't look bad imo, and ran well for the most part. Audio is improved too -gun sounds are more realistic and bullets even have the supersonic cracks now, as well as real physics. Nice touch.

6/10 overall.

Been looking at this one myself, a bit to arcade for me but does look like it's getting back to the good old days of Cod 4.

I always did enjoy the story mode for cod, but when the multiplayer became shit it was no longer worth the money for just the story. It's been the same since it happened.

What I have seen so far it is one of the better CoD's in years. I'm going to buy and play it for sure. Yes it is fast paced and twitchy. But CoD has always been like that. Even in the beginning days of CoD 1 and 2. I hope some more people will play it. I think it will be fun for sure, lot of swearing but fun ^^
