Very pretty, very nice. I'll volunteer to 'warehouse' the review model you get, Ages. It's the only way I'd end up with one at that bloody price (he says then remembers he spent £800 on a GPU a few months ago...).

Yeah they are ridiculously expensive. I suspect if I do get to review one it'll have to go back after. That's what happened with the HTC Vive Pro.

Why is this so expensive compared with others?

Those knuckles DO look pretty smexy in demos, and there'll be a lot of dev time and cost to make up there. Not sure how the headset and stations compare to Vive pro equivalents. Probably a large part Valve pointing at the uppermost end of the market and adding a few hundred just 'cos too.

Improved hardware. Comparing with the HTC Vive Pro it's a similar price point. The Index looks expandable too which is interesting. Plus the Index controllers look awesome. Just watch this

I've little experience of VR but I can see how much better it is vs the Oculus.

It'd be interesting to know how each item works when paired with older hardware; using just the knuckles with a basic rift setup etc, if you don't have the cash for a full index setup.
