Dirt2.0

Post by warlock359205 » Sat Mar 09, 2019 8:15 am

I see you have been playing dirt2.0 age, how you finding it?, Is it any good? As I liked the head to head part of the last rendition but thought the actual rally part was rather crap, but this one looks reasonable, and as you are playing it at least I can get an honest opinion.

Really ? I didn't drive a lot in Dirt 1.0, but it is what has been the closest sim to the good old Richard Burn's for long, imho

just to clearify Gentleman, it is Dirt Rally and not Dirt
there were other Codemasters games called Dirt, Dirt2, Dirt 3 and Dirt 3 complete edition which have been ok´ish, but Dirt Rally has ben great. i have been playing it 300+ Hrs and realy did like the style that sim worked, for me the best rally game since Collin MCrae Rally back in the 90s
Some freinds of mine are playing DR2 atm and they told me that graphics, handling and ajustability are even better than in DR

Yeah, Dirt Rally 2.0 is ace. It's beautiful and sounds fantastic. I think there are optimisation issues with it though as I keep getting frame loss on both my machine and various laptops. But Co driver calls have been improved, the cars sound epic and it's a lot of fun. Plus it's only £22 on CDKeys.

i guess you need a wheel Age, the corners start always with an to easy input and then all of a sudden it swaps into 100 %

A you have a lot to do with the car and harware setup ... some people are able to be comptetitive in sims using joypad, using pure simulation settings ( aka no help and realistic settings ) but they a re very rare.

A good force feedback wheel ( and also a the three paddles + grid stroke for oldies ) is a game changer.

And if you are using VR, you are in paradise

And NEVER use anything else thant wheel view !

Lol. I have a wheel. I prefer WASD. Those are just snatches of fails because they're more amusing than a montage of wins. For most of them I actually won the race even after those mistakes. In fact I've only lost one race so far and that's because it was wet and the controls were ridiculous.
