Just an update, after the biopsy it's still not showing up as cancer in my good lung, but "some of the cells look dodgy", and it's still growing, so my consultant isn't happy just leaving it, so as it stands now my consultant has asked a hospital in Guildford if they would perform "SABR" it's pinpoint radiology basically and is as good as surgery, but I don't meet the full criteria yes I have a tumor, yes It's growing, is it cancer no, if they say no to the SABR then I will be losing half of my other lung through surgery, and as I have only half of one already it's going to in her words " leave me permanently disabled" but hey at least I will still be alive, and as I wasn't planning on taking up marathon running it will be ok .

Both good and bad news but I think the good is better than the bad. I wish you well. 😊

Well ,I travelled from Pompey up to st Luke's cancer center in Guildford yesterday to be assessed by the consultant to see if I was suitable for ( SABR) treatment (stereotactic ablative radiotherapy) on the tumor growing in my good lung, and have been accepted so far, as you cannot move during treatment they made my body mold yesterday and have tattooed the target marks on my chest, the only thing I have to wait on is , way back in 1980 ish I had an intensive course of radiotherapy on my spine, so they have to check how much I had back then as ,too much could turn me into a paraplegic, and I don't want that, but if all is ok treatment starts in around 4weeks time every other day for 6weeks and I get to keep my good lung , Which is great news.
