Meet 2019

Post by Spawnsy » Tue Jan 29, 2019 10:56 pm

I was first asked to confirm the date of this years meet the day after last years! I've been asked at least four times since!

So.....Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of August. 9+10:08:2019.

The usual format will apply. Open to all full members. Guest behaviour is best behaviour.
Loughborough, Leicestershire, England.

Friday night in town for a Nepalese meal and drinks. You will need to budget around £25 for this to be safe, £15 if you don't drink. Volunteers to drive are always needed. The Friday is never too crazy: lights out usually no later than 1am.

Saturday breakfast (breakfast!? lol) at Tesco's cafe (10 min slow walk), or toast and cereal if money is tight for you, then the main event officially starts at 2pm till late with a BBQ. Hot dogs and burgers only, nothing fancy. Small voluntary donations toward the cost will be appreciated not compulsory.
Please try to arrange to leave at a civil hour on Sunday to allow me and Rox some time to ourselves to recover before returning to work.

We have more space than ever before for tents (bring your own + camp bed etc) in the garden to help keep it affordable, "the bunk" (spare room with triple bunk (reserved for overseas travellers) and two camp bed spaces sleeps 5. With added fan this year), and space in the living room (6 max cosy), and we have a discount code available for booking a room at The Cedars Hotel for the more discerning member. Note that you must use the hotel's own website (the link supplied) to book direct for the code to work.
If possible please use Novavab for all your taxi needs. No discount, but owned and run by friends: they're reliable.

Loughborough can be reached from junctions 21a (coming from south) or 23 (coming from north) off the M1 motorway, it's on the Midland Mainline railway (I can collect you), and East Midlands is our nearest airport (again, I can collect you by arrangement). Google it! You have the power.
I shall take the Friday off work again to accommodate times to best suit people's travel arrangements.

T-shirts and polo shirts with the embroidered coat of arms are available to order direct from briangharrington@hotmail.com if you would like to look awesome while you're here. The tooling and setup costs have been paid, all you need to do is contact him and tell him what name you would like on the shirt. If not you will have your name on a sticky label applied to your shirt front and back so that we don't forget your name!
Pictures of the shirts can be found on our facebook page.

Pm me for address, discount code, or with any questions.

If you've not been before and you're a bit wary bear in mind that the first time is tough for everyone, just bite the bullet: it's worth it.

The meet makes our virtual a reality. It's one of the things which makes =EBS= really special.

Please make sure that your name is on this list if you would like it to be. Indicate Fri/Sat/Cedars please so that I know for numbers.
